My 2023 Reading List

My love of reading developed early, I think I was maybe 7 or 8 years old when it became my favorite way to spend time alone. I lived with my grandmother at the time, and those years I spent with her were some of the best years of my childhood. She was kind, completely content with who she was as a person, and she relished peaceful afternoons reading a great book. Her favorite category was murder mysteries.

I consistently followed her example and read books all throughout adolescence and adulthood. While attending college I grew tired of the chronic reading that was required and developed severe reader’s burnout. I don’t think I picked up a book for at least 4 years after I graduated.

Bookshelves with lots of business development books

My reading list this year is almost exclusively non-fiction, focused on the professional skills I would like to build and improve upon. I want to become a successful business person, be more consistent while I build long-lasting healthy habits, and develop an optimistic mindset rooted in abundance and perseverance.

In no particular order, here are the 12 books I plan to read this year with links to Amazon for more information about the books.
